Breast Implants?

Dr. Roxanne Sylora has been performing breast augmentations for many years and has developed the ability to combine artistry and precision to create natural results.
Breast augmentation involves the use of implants to increase the volume of the breast to achieve the desired results. Most women who are interested in breast implants are unhappy with their size because they are unable to properly fit into clothing that they want to wear. Modern fashion is very form fitting, often with Vnecks or scoop necks. If you lack volume in your breast area, many clothes are unflattering or simply don't fit you.

Breast augmentation can be a great solution for this problem. If you're physically healthy and realistic in your expectations, you are probably a good candidate.

The best way to know is to call us and make an appointment for a consultation.

Currently there are both saline and silicone gel implants available to choose from. These are available in both smooth and textured implants, either round or anatomically shaped. There are many styles to choose from as well, with low, moderate, and high profile implants now being offered. The silicone gel, anatomically shaped "gummy bear" implants are not currently available in the United States as they have not been fully cleared by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), and use of these requires participation in a research project. Dr. Sylora will be happy to discuss with you the risks and benefits associated with the different options and share with you her preferences and why during your appointment.

Most breast augmentation surgeries typically use either an inframammary incision (in the crease below the breast), or a periareolar incision (around the areola). An axillary (armpit) incision can also be used. An incision through the umbilicus is not recommended and is not performed at our office. The risks associated with this approach do not warrant the risks or limitations of this procedure. If all of the choices associated with this procedure are confusing, make an appointment for a consultation where Dr. Sylora would discuss her recommendation for you and answer all of your questions.

When you come for your consultation, please bring a bra in your desired cup size (the number portion of your bra size should not change). Ideally, this bra should not be padded or have an underwire. The cups should be formless, so that when we try to fit you with different size implants, the bra will accomodate them easily. Also, please bring a tight fitting shirt that conforms to your body. A ribbed tank top is ideal. This will allow us to try different implants inside your bra and when you wear the tank top you can better visualize what a breast augmentation will do for you and your figure.
