Breast Reconstruction surgery restores breast appearance for women who have had their breast(s) removed to treat breast cancer.  The surgery can be done at the time of the breast cancer surgery (immediate) or can be done any time after the breast cancer surgery (delate).

The plastic surgeon rebuilds the breast to restore size and shape Often surgery can be done on the opposite breast for symmetry purposes.  The nipple and the areola (the darker area surrounding the nipple) can also be surgically reconstructed.
