Dr. Amir Nasir is originally from New York where he graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in Optics. He later moved to Colorado and worked as an engineer on, among other things, the correction for the Hubble Space Telescope. His desire to help others led him to West Africa, where he served in the Peace Corps for two years. The experience and exposure to traditional medical practices then led him to Tulane University in New Orleans, where he earned a Master's degree in Public Health & Tropical Medicine.

After finishing medical school and his six year residency in the Midwest, Dr. Nasir went for additional specialized fellowship training at Boston University in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery.Dr. Nasir has participated in international surgical missions in developing nations on a voluntary basis.He has operated on patients with severe burns, cleft palates, traumatic injuries, and congenital disorders. Dr. Nasir has performed many body contouring procedures including thigh lifts, arm lifts, tummy tucks, and liposuction. He also performs a wide variety of breast surgeries including augmentations, reductions, lifts, and breast reconstruction after breast cancer.
Dr. ALAN CHEN
Dr. Chen completed his Bachelors of Arts degree and graduated Cum Laude from Cornell University. He received his Medical Degree with honors from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Chen completed a General Surgery Residency at Harvard Medical School at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. There, he was trained by Dr. Josef Fischer, named one of the top twenty-five most influential surgeons in the last century by Archives of Surgery. During this training, Dr. Chen also completed a two-year surgical research fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine in the Division of Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Chen then completed a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under Dr. W.P. Andrew Lee. The University of Pittsburgh is recognized as having one of the best Plastic Surgery Residency programs in the nation. It has trained more leaders and Division Chiefs in Plastic Surgery than any other program. It is also the first institution in the U.S. to successfully perform a bilateral hand transplantation.
Dr. Chen performs all aspects of reconstructive surgery, including head and neck, trunk and extremityreconstruction using microvascular technique (limb reattachment, free flaps). He also performs aesthetic/cosmetic surgery including body contouring, breast augmentation, and facial aesthetic procedures, including complicated hernia repairs. Dr. Chen is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons . He has been practicing in Joliet since 2007. He enjoys providing the complete spectrum of plastic surgery normally found only in academic centers to the local community.
